I love food; wholesome, nutritious, life-giving food.  Finding a serving of this in Dubai, combined with attentive service and ambient surrounds, I’ve discovered, can be tough and fraught with disappointments.

Honestly, it can’t be that hard, can it?

How do some places get it so right when others leave you feeling so let down?  I object to parting with a small fortune for an experience I would rather forget.  However, serve me a plate of something delightful, where passion features high on the ingredients list, and I’ll happily dig deep and be a regular forever.  Plus I’ll rave on to my family, friends & colleagues…in fact anyone who’ll listen, and this includes you!

I wanted to provide a one-stop-shop for some honest restaurant and café recommendations starting with Dubai and then taking on the rest of the world!  And here it is, Honestly Foodie.

Honestly Foodie charts my progress as I quite literally eat my way through Dubai, giving you frank commentary on my findings.   I’m a positive person, going into eateries with an open mind and empty tummy!  The proud owner of a lovely little D-SLR with a tendency towards snap-happiness, I’m including pictorial evidence of my journey.

I understand everyone has bad days, but restaurants and cafés shouldn’t make a habit of it, so I’m offering the opportunity for you to rate and share your experiences, which I hope will provide a balanced overview.
