In a word: Native
Food:  Delicious, flavourful dishes made using local produce
Service:  Friendly and patient!
Presentation:  Simple and unfussy
Ambience:  Very relaxed
Location:  Off the beaten track; hidden away amongst the eucalypts
Value for money: Yep, below average prices for the region
Worth a visit?:  Yep, the 15 minute drive out of Dunsborough is well worth it to discover this little gem hidden away in the bush

I was tipped off about this little café by KT, yoga teacher at Zen Den Collective in Dunsborough, WA.  Had I not asked for her foodie go-to’s, I would never have discovered this hidden gem by chance, and I am so glad I did, as I loved everything about Goanna: the cafe, bush setting, shop and gallery.

Swan Valley Cafe, Swan Valley, Perth WA

In a word:  Vibrant
Food:  Fragrant and fresh vegetarian, vegan, raw and gluten free options, plus they have a shop for take homes and a booze license!
Service:  Friendly and helpful
Presentation:  Simple; the quality and freshness of ingredients shine from the plate
Ambience:  Tranquil and full of light, beautiful quiet garden overlooking vines and fields
Location:  Conveniently located amongst the vineyards of the Swan Valley
Value for money: On the upper end of the café scale at around $20 for a main. This is ingredient, labour and love-intensive food.  Plus it’s in Western Australia, possibly one of the most expensive places on the planet!
Worth a visit?:  The perfect place to refuel, nourish and relax between tasting sessions

The Swan Valley Café is a breath of fresh air, it’s super easy to find- on one of the main roads in and out of the Swan Valley wine region, the staff are friendly, the café has a homely and welcoming feel, and the food, perhaps most importantly, is absolutely delicious, looks and tastes fresh and brimming with goodness.

Food: Yum with ethics and a couple of extraordinary dishes that make The Farm worth the trek
Service: Efficient
Presentation: Chic and clean
Ambience: Family friendly yet it works for romance, business and time out of Dubai
Location: Lush greenery set against simple and clean structures
Value for money: Yep: generally good portion sizes, quality ingredients, stunning location
Worth a visit?: Absolutely

As you turn off the Emirates Road to the Al Barari Estate, you enter a hidden paradise via a densely planted shrub and tree-lined road.  Seriously, this place is Lush, with a capital L.  The set up here is just beautiful, it works all year round and proves a really popular option with locals and expats alike.
